Pastor's Letter

Hi Folks,
"Examine yourselves,
whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves."
II Corinthians 13:5
It
would seem that Paul was not questioning the Corinthian's faith, but
whether they were living out the faith. A.W. Tozer pin-pointed seven
areas of self-examination that reveal the quality of our spiritual
health: what we want most; what we think about most; how we use our
money; what we do with our leisure time; the company we enjoy; whom
and what we admire and what we laugh at. Let us carefully evaluate
our response to these priorities.
Search me, O God, and know my heart
today;
Try me, O Saviour, know my thoughts I pray.
See if there be some wicked way in me,
Cleanse me from ev'ry sin and set me free. -- J. Edwin

As our summer begins lets not put God last on
our list of things important. God never vacations! Jesus ia
always in our presence, but are we always in His. Let us have a
great summer but let the Lord be a part of it all. "What so ever
we...do unto the Lord."
As Pastor I would like to take
this time to thank you for your interest in T.B.C.
Lighthouse. Our mission here at T.B.C. is to be a part of
families in ministry. Working together for the kingdom of God is our
goal for each family member. We are praying for the needs of others
in the way of Spiritual helps and trusting we, through the work of
God, can become a blessing to our community.
God has given us a wonderful place to worship together here in the
City of Green. We are a growing community and we are honored by the
fact that God has placed us here to minister. We alwaysh welcome
those who are looking for a church home, where not only can we
worship together, but also serve our Lord Jesus Christ.
We live in a day where people, no doubt, live busy lives, but we
know the presence of God and church in your families will bring a
greater fulfillment to family and home. So we here at T.B.C. invite
you and encourage you to come and worship with us on Sunday.
