light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness,
but shall have the light of life."
As the community around us struggles to find a
moral compass in these turbulent times, and they look for a light to
guide them through the rough seas of life, Temple Baptist Church stands
as a lighthouse beckoning to the lost and weary.
Through such programs as Angel Tree (gifts for inmates families),
holiday food drives, and participation and support with the Haven of
Rest we reach out and try to help those around us in such great need.
Also, through our ministries we reach out to the community during
periods of happiness (weddings) and times of sorrow (funerals).
It is our desire to be as Christ commanded the church to be "a light on
a hill".
